We have found that giving residuals is very helpful. The referral agent is also usually the customer's trusted advisor. There is no reason that the referral agent wouldn't advise the customer to switch at end of term, if another provider was financially encouraging them to. We rewards our agents, for showing their support on an ongoing basis, towards retaining customers long term.
