I want to offer mobile and fixed broadband via WiMAX. I am having trouble getting access to quality spectrum. I have cash in hand ready to buy equipment TODAY. I have towers. I have potential customers. I have excess bandwidth capacity ready to roll. SPECTRUM...SPECTRUM...SPECTRUM. I hope that is clear enough!
By the way, I have had enough trouble relating to the spectrum crunch in this country that I will be deploying FTTH whether I get spectrum now or not. I have learned my lesson. That lesson is that the United States government does not really care about the average WISP or rural America's access to broadband. If they really cared they would be setting up programs to help us including programs to get us access to more quality spectrum. I do not consider the current whitespaces rules to be a genuine attempt to help and the ARRA program is biased toward larger players only IMO. It almost appears they want us to fail.
