So does supporting comments help or make any difference? If it does should we
send out directions and a call for comments to the FCC.

Steve,

Together with the other Comments filed in the proceeding, including Reply
Comments due November 13, the Comments will be considered by the FCC as it
develops its National Broadband Plan.

Jack thank you for the post. Very nice document. Can you update us on the next
steps, what will happen with document. From what I understand the FCC does not
have to do anything, right?

Subject: [WISPA] WISPA's "Spectrum for Broadband" FCC Filing

Today WISPA completed and filed Comments with the FCC regarding providing more
and better spectrum for WISP fixed wireless broadband operation.

This work was made possible by donations of time from WISPA FCC Committee
Members and other WISPA Members. In addition to the many hours of contributed
volunteer time there was a very real several-thousand dollar legal-fee cost to
make this filing possible. These legal costs were paid by WISPA members through
their Membership dues. This filing would not have been possible without the
help of WISPA's dues-paying members. If you are a WISP who uses spectrum,
please consider joining WISPA and helping to do your share to support both the
WISP industry and your own personal WISP business.

The final filing text is attached along with a summary, as required by the FCC.

Questions and constructive suggestions are always welcome.

Again, thank-you to those who volunteered their time and contributed their
opinions to make this filing possible.

Respectfully,

Jack Unger

Chair - WISPA FCC Committee
