Safety first, and last. If you aren't safe out there, it'll be the last thing you do in this business or any other. We get in enough jams just doing what we have to do. Lets not compound the problem. OK, having said that. I keep a box full (yes a box full) of those chemical hand and foot warmers in the car this time of year. EVERY car. When I have to work outside for any amount of time (I tend to not wear gloves at all, can't work with them) I tape one to the inside of my wrist. Right where you'd check your pulse. That does an amazing job of warming the blood going into your hands. Try it some time, you'll be amazed at how warm your hands stay. You can also put one or two of them in your front pants pocket and that'll help keep your feet warm. I found out that riding a dirt bike stirs up too much air and they get really hot! I ended up with blistered skin on my legs from a couple of them. If they start to feel too hot, they are.
