Ok... I have a question about eRate. We have been providing service to a school corporation at a discounted rate (because they are a school) and now they are requesting that we become e-rate so the government pays part. They are also looking at increasing the bandwidth as well. I am thinking that would be a good time to apply for e-rate and increase rates back to where they should be so the school gets a discount still, but we are paid for our services.
Are there any downfalls to signing up and getting a SPIN? I don't think this will increase my ability to get schools/libraries. I am a bit concerned that becoming e-rate, I must collect USF fees or something like that. Any feedback or discussion is welcome as I am still on the fence.
