It would be neat to see for smaller sites, but I wouldn't use it on larger sites, one point of failure makes me nervous a bit. Especially since Cat5e is so cheap.
To answer your question, no, I have not seen it but would like to :) -Cameron -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Greg Ihnen Sent: Tuesday, March 16, 2010 8:17 AM To: WISPA General List Subject: [WISPA] POE powered POE Splitter with Switch? Does anyone know of or use a POE powered POE splitter/switch combo which could be tower mounted which would allow a single ethernet cable carrying POE (perferrably 48v) up the tower, and then would pass POE (adjustable voltages) to multiple devices and also act as a switch (preferably managed)? I'm thinking of something that would let a person run a single Ethernet up the tower and then connect multiple POE powered devices. It seems like this is something that would be a big hit. Yes, I Googled it first. Greg ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------- WISPA Wants You!
