I've had this problem with ethernet cable too. I think UPS & FedEx drop kick the boxes. Woodned spools do much better. At any rate, I got 150' off so far. Its still in the box for fear it will come apart in knots. It's just painstaking but I'll eventually get the rest off. Hopefully it was broken when sent out to me and not when sent to you. That way there is still hope to get one with a good spool. If I get another, I'll pay extra to have you double box it. -RickG
