I'm looking for some info from anyone out there that has used 11GHz Direct Mount radios before. We're looking at deploying a number of these units with CPR 90G inputs. This means the radio mounts directly to the 6ft or 8ft dish.
At the lower freq. of 5 GHz, we use a polyphaser lightning protector between the antenna and the radio. While this adds a little cost, I've never had a radio fail.
