Unfortunately those are even worse. Both use the 2.4Ghz band internally and 
down-convert to 900Mhz, resulting in interference both ways.

    Yes I use them.
    The package is entirely plastic.  The only holes are for 1/4" or so cable.
    I have drilled one to accept an N connector, but I am not sure I would do it
    again.
