The article cites a report, without giving access to it, and doesn't 
state whether the interference was caused by LightSquared's high or 
low band.  Previous rounds of test, released by the FCC, show that 
the high band causes problems for most existing GPS receivers but the 
low band doesn't.  LightSquared's revised plan is to activate only 
the low band initially.

Now just how much "free" service can be offered on the LightSquared 
network, especially limited to only half its spectrum, is a good question.
