I have actually have pretty decent experience specifically with the
EOC-1650s, so far with about 20 deployed and a couple approaching 2years
outdoor operation. Interestingly, the 1650's have proven more reliable
than more Engenius' powerful units like EOC-2610 or EOC-2611P, suggesting
overheats.

I do understand Engenius had (has) substantial quality control problems, if
not just outright product quality deficits, a few years ago. It's no
surprise Engenius markets its products as cheaper clones of UBNT gear.

Still, the 1650's seem to be a very popular unit with my preferred
supplier, as they are sold out from time to time. (Which was what lead me
to Microcenter ...)
