Toll Frees are always charged on usage bases.. BTW, no one says that you have to sell it like that...
You can easily choose to sell it in any manner you like..... But you will be paying based on usage. Some thoughts... You can sell him a bundle of min... i.e. TF + 100 min of use / month = $20, anything over 100min will be billed at 10c/min or some combination of this. If they use less than 100 min, then you keep the $.... If they use more, then you get to bill them for the overage or sell them a bigger bundle package. What you get to keep is commonly refereed to as 'breakage' and it tends to be a good money maker.. Hint Hint... if you are paying anything significant for 'unlimited use / per line', you should look into what the actual usage is.. and it is highly likely that there may be a good sum of $ you are giving to your provider for the 'breakage' which you could keep if you were to choose to pay for usage. Telco's can charge anywhere between 5c/min to 10c/min.. but what is interesting is that they will stuff your bill with a $5 to $10 / month extra fee for 'low usage'. Wholesale pricing is anywhere between a 2c to 5c / min, depending on commit and usage. for end user 5c/min is a good acceptable rate when usage is expected to be low. My guess, this person will gladly pay you anywhere between $10 to $20/month for a low usage TF with a bundle of min. And that would be average / competitively speaking. Of Course YMMV. Regards.
