Issues I have had with Cogent: - Super inconsistent pricing. There pricing will fluctuate wildly depending where they are there sales cycle. Meaning if you need another gig added its hard to predict what pricing you will be paying
- Performance. I would say that most of what people say about Cogent is true. IMO performance is not great and you would be better off trying to use someone like Hurricane Electric who is often competitive with them pricing (not in as many locations tho) and from my experience more stable and better performing (obv still not as good as a real T1 like level3).
