Quick question What is the best way to keep a point to multipoint client from dropping the AP signal? SSIDs are set up, WEP is set up. In a nutshell the system is a WAN connection connected to an AP/router to an omni antenna. Clients are directional 14-24db panels/baskets with their own bridge AP. Then POE to the customers system/router whatever. Distance is 100m to 3 miles. The problem is sometimes the clients will drop from the AP. Its like they dont know what their SSID even is. Most of this interference is coming from home WAPs with completely different or non existant SSIDs. With a home WAP in the line of site - somtimes the signal from it will be stronger than my AP a nd it lures my client away. How can I stop this?
