If you want distance the last thing you want is an omni antenna. It is
better to sectorize or use a dish. An omni collects noise and interference
from all directions. If the intended path is one direction you are ruining
your Signal to (Noise + Interference) ratio.

I did something close... 8Km.
u will need a 15dB Omni directional Antenna, Coax. cables, and an AP
at the central site.
If u have interference or planning 2 go further, u might need an
amplifier.

I got my 6W amp from hyper link for $1999 and their site is very self-
explanatory.
