--- Comment #3 from Jim Aragon <[email protected]> 2012-09-28 19:29:05 PDT --- (In reply to comment #2) > Edit -> Preferences -> Name Resolution -> GeoIP database directories: -> Edit > -> New -> [Drop-down] -> Other ... -> Select some folder or drive, such as > "Desktop" -> Top-left corner paper+pencil icon w/tooltip="Type a file name" -> > Location: [Type in whatever location you want, whether it exists or not] -> > Open -> OK -> OK > > Can you try that w/your PortableApps version? I was able to type in a relative path, in both the PortableApps and non-PortableApps version, but it was saved as an absolute path. I followed the directions above exactly: Edit > Preferences > Name Resolution > GeoIP database directories > Edit > New > Other. I selected "Desktop", selected the paper+pencil icon and entered ".\GeoIP". What was saved was "C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\GeoIP". -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.wireshark.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes. ___________________________________________________________________________ Sent via: Wireshark-bugs mailing list <[email protected]> Archives: http://www.wireshark.org/lists/wireshark-bugs Unsubscribe: https://wireshark.org/mailman/options/wireshark-bugs mailto:[email protected]?subject=unsubscribe
