Title: [OT] Picking an OS X database
I'm plotting all the moving parts for going from OS9 to OSX. Going from W*
to W* V is easy. Tango on OS X will be essential.
Then I need to pick a database to replace Filemaker.
That's where I am now. I've narrowed down to 4D vs MySQL+NaviCat. They look
comparable in the ease-of-use dept (very important). I have two questions:
Is each multi-threaded? (I don't want to have the Filemaker bottleneck
revisit me)
How is ODBC/JDBC connectivity on OS X between Tango 5 and these?
Thanks for any tips; reply off-line if appropriate.
