I decided to dig out our Pervasive License agreement for the app server, and
I read the Standard vs. Pro vs. Corporate sutff, and then came across
this... in the Restrictions section...
5. RESTRICTIONS
--- part of this section cut--- (didn't want to have to type the whole
thing!)
You may use the Software and Documentation solely for your internal business
purposes. Except with the express wirtten consent of Pervasive,
notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, You agree that You man not
use the Software to host applications for third parties or to provide
service bureau, time-sharing or other computer services to third parties.
Am I reading THIS right? Isn't this saying that any kind of webhosting is
not allowed by the license? I can't find anything anywhere else in the
license that explicitly allows it?
