We have a Mac running Tango 2000 and I want to upgrade the license to
Witango 5, (on windows) so I was trying to figure out if there was a
"cross-grade" option. I didn't find anything, but since the cost for the
Mac App server Standard Edition, and the Windows App Server Standard Edition
were the same, I thought that the good folks at With would probably
accomodate us. Any thoughts or comments on this, please let me know.

Now, for the real reason I'm writing this email.

When researching the cross-grade issue I came across the Witango FAQ's
again. I remember reading them a while back to see what license type we
would be needing in our "small webshop" environment.

When you read the first two questions below, "What is the Standard
Edition?", and "What is the Professional Edition?" (the two questions that
I've read before) You learn that the difference between the two versions
is, one supports multiple cpus, and the other doesn't. (see faq's below)

Now, I just happened to see the third question below... "What licenses can
we host with?" so I read the answer. (see below) So, if I'm reading this
right, the difference between STD and PRO is a little more than just
single/multi cpu support. So, a small web development company with a single
cpu machine, and sites for 2 or more of it's clients on that single machine
need to purchase a PRO license? Has this been in the license agreement
since the days of Pervasive?

Could someone please shed some light on this for me? Distributer? Reseller?
With Ent.?

/John
