I guess this will have to be posted about once a year as I just dug it out
my archive and I last sent it to the list in August 2001. Maybe WiTango
would like to write this down and include it with their new incarnation of
the product.

Hey Guy,
I spent well over 50 hours on this back about 18 months ago. It was
EXTREMELY frustrating to find that no one at Everyware or Pervasive had a
clue about it.
But here's a repost of the answer I gave back when you first brought this
up. This works FINE in T3.6 on the Mac. Please test this out for yourself by
having a test taf that sets a variable in one folder and the same but
different value in another folder. That'll get you started (it's how I
tested it out).
So.
webstar/domains/domain1/test.taf
have it set a var to "red"
webstar/domains/domain2/test.taf
have it set a var to "blue"
Using the info below, you should have separate vars in each domain.
Be sure to put the domainscopekey setting <Assign> in both places in your
Tango prefs file, the plugin code is the second set of code, below the ACGI
code.

Assuming that you have your folders set something like
Webstar (plugins are at this level so Tango looks at this as the root)
domains
yourdomain, another domain, yet another domain.....
Then this works
DOMAINSCOPEKEY=<@ASSIGN NAME="v_domain_scope_key" VALUE='<@TOKENIZE
VALUE="<@CGIPARAM script_name>" CHARS="/">' SCOPE="local"><@VAR
NAME="v_domain_scope_key[1,2]" SCOPE="local">
This would set the domain keys to
domains/yourdomain
domains/another domain
domains/yet another domain
In my case I use
dms/fb/
dms/td/
etc.
to get a a short key like
fb
or
td
I once worked out the shorthand for the code above and it ran twice as fast
so there's something to get there.
This is on T3.6 but I have never seen anything posted that said it wouldn't
work straight out in T2K.
