Currently I have the threadPoolSize set to 20 which is the default. Funny, I checked the performance monitor early this morning when the server was relatively quiet and noticed that the thread count for t4server was still at 28. Obviously, Witango holds all 20 of the threads open and the other 8 are used for other processes. Tell me if I am wrong about this but that is the only explanation I can come up with. There is another parameter you can monitor call Handle Count which does change by some small degree according to the number of hits on the t4server, but this count was around the 150 mark.

Since I see no advantage at this point to change the threadPoolSize, I will leave it where it is.

What is your threadPoolSize set to?

Subject: Witango-Talk: threadPoolSize

NT 4.0 sp6a
Witango 2000

I used my performance monitor to watch the number of threads being
used by t4sever.exe. I noticed in the short time I was watching, that
the number of threads are around 30. This was a steady 30 for the 10
minutes or so that I watched.

Should I increae the number of the threadspoolsize to match or are
there other processes that t4 uses that are not related to the
threadPoolSize.

I am trying to optimize the server...

thanks!
