Ok, I have attached a zip file that contains

Note: place these in folder c:\base64 on server
base64.exe - command line base64 converter
do.bat - called from TestEmailCID.taf (external action to base64)
logo.64 - base64 of logo.gif
logo.gif - pcforge logo gif

Note: place this file in the webroot folder
TestEmailCID.taf - test taf.

Ok, it is not complete, ran into some problems
but should get you further down the road

Thanks Ben, that's exactly the stuff I am after.

Do you know of any applications that will convert a file to BASE64? I used
Entourage and attached the file, then dragged the file to the desktop and
can copy the BASE64 attachment, but a dedicated application would be better.
