Title: Re: Witango-Talk: Converting FileMaker Databases to MySQL on MacOS X
I’ve always had the best results with thinking about my needs for MySQL and WiTango outside of FMP and building the tables I need using standard SQL conventions.

Then going back and renaming fields in FMP to those in MySQL and where needed creating new ones to hold the proper data.

Then do a .mer export and open it in Excel check the data carefully and then import into MySQL.
