Chris, I believe I know what you're talking about, however I didn't reply sooner because I don't know the answer from the Witango side of things. You'd have to supply a username and password to the server from Witango, just like a mail client does when it sends mail through a server that requires authorization.
If that isn't possible with Witango, is it feasible that you could open the mail server up to accept unauthenticated mail from Witango's IP address? I don't know if your SMTP server is on your network or outside of it, or what control you have over it. If your mail server is outside your network, and it's feasible, there are mail servers that allow you to set things up so you can accomplish what you want. In particular, if you are on a Windows Platform, Mercury32 mail server can handle this easily. It is also free. If this might help your situation, try www.pmail.com.
