Having Witango provide the password would be the ideal thing to do. But I'm
not sure how to accomplish it -- perhaps a custom header. I'm not familiar
enough with email to know.

As far as the server goes, it is outside my network, but I have not found a
way to allow unauthenticated access for only select IP addresses. Unlike
SMTP relay for IP addresses, authentication requirements seem to be all or
nothing -- as far as I know, anyway. I'm using Mac OS X, so I can't try the
program you suggested, but perhaps Sendmail might have a similar capability
that you described.
