Hello everyone.
For that last couple of weeks I have been trying to get the Oracle OCI
working with the Dev Studio and the App Server on OS X. I am wondering if
anyone has had any luck with this. If so, would you be kind enough to
provide me with some instructions.
This is what I have tried so far:
- Followed the instrcution that came with the Server ( pdf file ).
- Tried the production and preview version of the App server and Dev
Studio. ( I did notice the thread about version 058 of the App server).
- Tried a new install on another OS X workstation, thinking maybe I missed
something.
- Reinstalled the OCI drivers from Oracle.
- created an environment.plist to set the variables.
- Manually entered the variables.
In the Dev Studio, I get the option to create a new "Oracle" datasource,
but when I try to connected it says: "Unable to connect to the datasource
<datasource name>. Verify that the data source is properly configured and
that the database server is online."
If I use the openlink Oracle connector, it works, but I would like to use
the native Oracle feature instead.
Oracle box information: AlphaVMS 7.2-1
Oracle 8.1.7.0
Witango Server: Xserve running 10.2.6
Workstation: running 10.2.6
Any thoughts, suggestions, comments on when I may go from here?
