I only noticed a marginal speed improvement when upgrading from OS9/FileMaker 5.5/WebStar 4.4/Tango2000 to OSX/FileMaker6/Witango5. I was under the impression the speed difference would be significant. Sadly the client insists on the FileMaker database, so what can I do to improve the speed? Would an upgrade to a G5 make a big difference? The server is a 1st generation G4, 512MB RAM, 400MHz.
