Sam, Is everything running on one machine/ If so moving the FMP DB's to a different machine should help.
Also on the Witango Webster machine increasing the RAM to 1G should help. Sure a G5 is going to be a lot faster. Even a G4 Dual 1.5 or whatever the dual is now would be a lot faster.
