I have witango 062 running on Redhat 9.

A couple of things --

* apache version is important. The RH httpd RPM will not work, as the
plugin interface changed after 2.044. 2.047 is the current apache2
version. There was also a configuration switch I had to set in ./config.
Note that ./config will place everything in /usr/local/apache2, rather
than in /etc/httpd (? default redhat location? ). Accordingly modify the
/etc/init.d/httpd script.

* Things are going swimmingly with unixODBC-2.2.3-6, though I don't know
why an earlier version wouldn't work.

* I had some issues with the JVM and earlier witango builds, but follow
the sun installation and just point to the jvm in witango.ini (which
points to the default location provided by Sun)

I meant to write and post clear instructions, but I also had a few false
starts, so my instructions got confused.

Contact me off list if you want some more help.
