Thanks David, that did the trick. I didn't say so in my first message but
that was exactly the same thing we were doing. Very odd.

I had the same issue on the same platforms this morning.  All I was
doing was a External action to get a directory listing.  After
restarting the server, all was fine.  I have no clue what or why, but
it's working fine now.
