I use Spitfire to create simple bar graph charts. For a look, select
"Core Service" from the "Reports" menu on this site:
http://nortec.org/WIA_Client_Main.html Be sure and checkmark "Check To Show Data In Charts" on the search criteria page that comes up when you select "Core Services." This seems to be the coolest thing since dirt! Is there anyone out there that¹s using these charts? I sure could have used these some time back. If anyone is using this, please post an address etc. I would love to see them in action. Thanks SteveFrom: "David Shelley" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Thu, 2 Oct 2003 08:40:22 -0400 To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: RE: Witango-Talk: Is it possible? Gene, Have you checked out Spitfire charts? It's designed to work with Witango to produce a wide variety of charts. http://www.spitfirecharts.com/ Dave -----Original Message----- From: Wolf, Gene [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, October 02, 2003 7:28 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Witango-Talk: Is it possible? Some of you may have already done this, or maybe no one has, but I thought I'd give it a shot. We're finding we are outgrowing the capabilities of our current graphing package with Witango. The users needs are getting too sophisticated. We have found that we can do what is required using Excel and exporting to a web page. Problem is we need it to also be dynamic, for example, some graphs have to be refreshed on a 15 minute interval. Now, Excel also has a built in Webquery that allows just that, but only as long as Excel is running. What that means is, you can ask Excel to query the database and display the new chart every 15 minutes, but only from within Excel. Once you save the chart it becomes static. Has anyone tied Witango to Excel in such a way that what we're looking to accomplish is possible? Or is someone using a more sophisticated charting package with Witango that allows you to specify bar colors, place the bar values on the bars themselves, etc? Our environment is Windows 2000, Witango 5 and SQL. Thanks for your help!
