Phil,

Just to update you on my status. As you know I was banging my head on the wall for months with this. I finally got someone to send the machine off campus for service. The off campus technician said that it appeared to be the HD, so he replaced the HD. Fortunately for me he was still able to determine the machine had the problem, since he said that as before none of the tests, including the Apple Hardware test in burn-in mode overnight indicated any problem.

After replacing the HD, and the RAM, and the speaking with Apple, and then replacing BOTH processors as per Apple's suggestion, the machine appeared to work, and was returned to me.

I have been happily running WiTango 5 on it now for at least 3 weeks without any errors.

I just have to say thanks because you tried very hard to help me when I felt so stuck because nobody here thought it was hardware since the Apple tests passed. Thanks for your assistance and patience. Your product was of course never at fault, as you probably suspected.

Cheers

- Andrew
