Hey John and Alan! I haven't checked into TortiseCVS at all. I'm using FreeVCS http://www.freevcs.de/ .
Seems to work pretty well. There aren't any hooks into WiTango, but the server and clients are both multi-platform. Uses a database to track changes, and is very flexible in terms of the db server used. The client is very nicely done as well. Have a look!
