Hi
Chuck:
The
certificate will be valid for whatever you type in as "fully qualified domain
name" when making the certificate request.
In
your case, if you register the cert against: secure.abc.com
the cert will work for that sub-domain only.
It
will not work for: abc.com or www.abc.com or www.secure.abc.com
or any other variant.
tks,

please. If the domain is “abc.com” and I
want to use a secure certificate for “secure.abc.com”, which one is considered
the fully qualified domain name (common name)? If I register “abc.com”
will the certificate work for “secure.abc.com”, “private.abc.com”,
etc. Thanks, Chuck
