Chuck, If you get a cert for abc.com, when you
are in secure mode, you will be at https://abc.com
instead of http://abc.com. I think https://secure.abc.com
will also work, but I know https://abc.com/secure
will positively work. Take a look at www.eapintl.com and click on members.
That will take you to a secure page for eapintl.com. Next look at www.affinitycare.org/eap and click
the member login page. This will take you to a secure page using the eapintl
cert. On each of the pages when you get the
login screen, right click on the page and look at the url, and you can also
click on the paddle lock to see the cert. Both sites are using the same
cert by jumping through some hoops. From: Chuck Lockwood
[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sorry, quick clarification please. If the domain is “abc.com” and I want to use a
secure certificate for “secure.abc.com”, which one is considered
the fully qualified domain name (common name)? If I register
“abc.com” will the certificate work for “secure.abc.com”,
“private.abc.com”, etc. Thanks, Chuck
