I uninstalled Witango Dev Studio 5.5 and installed Witanto Dev Studio 5.0. Still, when I try to expand the "Music" ODBC connection in the Dev Studio workspace (where "Music" represents a MySql database created as per the Witango tutorial), Dev Studio 5 shuts down with the same error message as in Dev Studio 5.0:
Product: Witango Studio Version: 5.5.08 License Key: LX7N8-Q2CUZ-RU6EB-3ZENJ-DJ00 Operating System: Windows NT, 5.1, 2600, Service Pack 2 Unhandled exception: 0xc0000005 Address:0x2e789f3 Is there ANYONE running Windows XP with Service pack 2 that has been able to get part "B" of the Witango tutorial to work, i.e., to successfully create a datasource for the MySql "music" database? I worked professionally with Tango 2000 a few years ago at a company that used MS Sql Server. I never had problems like this. Is Witango 5 and 5.0 on Windows XP buggy? Any suggestion appreciated. I also tried a connection to the Music database with Witango 5.5 using the jdbc support, but that did not work either even though I verifed I had things correct by writing a standalone java program that was able to use jdbc to access the mySql "Music" database. Dev Studio 5.5 did not crash but it insisted the username and password were wrong even though they weren't.
