Hi all, I found the answer. Must
use “\xxx” when using characters with punctuation on top in Tango.
The ‘xxx’ is the octal code. In case anyone of you need it in the future, you might want to save this somewhere
(not my page, found it on google): http://www.rgagnon.com/jsdetails/js-0002.html Thanks, Richard -----Original Message----- Hello, Has anyone had experience with
French text in _javascript_ in Tango? For example, simple alert box: alert('
aucun critre de recherche n\'a t indiqu '); Tango converts the characters with
the accent punctuation into html codes e.g. è, é I’ve tried unescape(),
I’ve tried assigning string to a variable and displaying it with
different encoding attributes. A simple HTML page with the French
text in _javascript_ will work though. Any suggestions?
