To clarify, I believe the technical benefits of Wi are similar FMP – low dev cost, quick development, ease-of-use, etc. However, the public awareness of the two is a different story, which is one reason why FMP enjoys the community and support it does.

You have to remember, a community is largely reactive, not proactive. Public relations and marketing are proactive, and that is what drives the overall perception of a product or company. To date, Witango has done a stellar job on getting the product on a competitive level with the competition. Now may be the time to focus on a more aggressive marketing/pr campaign to get the perception on par.

Yes, it takes resources. But no, it doesn't have to be done the way the big boys do. That is the great thing about target marketing, you don't have to break the bank to be effective. There are many ways to go about doing it. I am just guessing that Wi hasn't had the time to do it with all the great things the have been doing so far.
