What I have experienced is that it depends on the Dev. Studio.

I have set the resultset to be a certain scope and it would be fine unless I
edited the search action and it reverted back.

As for a bug, maybe, depends on perspective ;-)

I really have ignored it because I have always relied on my own var setting
