Hi folks, Sorry, I don't have the original email, but one of the Roberts was asking about code generating tools for ASP.NET applications.
I just happen to come across these two, which I've heard generally positive things about but have never tried myself. http://www.codesmithtools.com/ (does .NET only) http://www.propersonal.com/index.htm (does .NET plus PHP, Java and all sorts of other c***) Both are not free, but have integration support with Visual Studio .NET apparently. For me, the biggest single advantage of .NET over any other platform is the hundreds upon hundreds of ready-made "Controls" (free and otherwise) that you can just drag-and-drop into an application to instantly add tons of functionality. Take the following link as one example: http://www.freetextbox.com/ And, if you're interested, here's an article of mine on how to implement a real-time ProgressBar for an ASP.NET Webpage. http://custom.softwarefor.net/archive/546.aspx (currently featured on the frontpage of http://asp.net - excuse the self promotion) Hope that was what you were looking for. ~ Scott Cadillac ~ 403-254-5002 ~ [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~ Custom Software for Business http://custom.softwarefor.net ~ The XML-Extranet Partnership ~ P.O.
