No there is no update. There was something planned (beta in June 05, release
in Nov 05) but then PayPal bought the lot and the software update has been
pushed off to integrate new features (June 06 is what I've heard by way of
rumor)

Still, the COM interface is dead and I'm moving on. I don't expect it to
ever work again.

I have not yet started construction on my new method, but I am anticipating
to use the XML structure along with Witango's built-in @URL to do the
communication. If that should fail me, I'll probably fall back to that built
in object (winhttp 5.1 I think?).

I'm curious to see in the bean can be used as a stable communication
mechanism for the XML method. I've always stayed away from beans since they
always seemed to be trouble (causing crashes and other unpredictable
behavior). But I admit that's an opinion I formed 3-4 years ago when COM was
at it's best and java was still a bit sketchy.

I check the sdk every few months, just downloaded last night, it is
still the same com. Why would they update it?
