Steve,
Possibly in v6 but it may not be in the initial v6 release. Contact
me off list if you need to discuss it further.

Is this something that might be in the next version of Witango?

Steve,
The server does not support secure or authenticated SMTP. The
username and password parameters are only used by POP3 and IMAP4
with these tags.
The workaround is to have an smtp process running on the
localhost that will allow the witango server to send emails to
it. The local smtp server can then connect into your other mail
servers.

We specifically need to figure out how to use the @EMAIL and
@EMAILSESSION tags in order to comply with our university's
email security upgrades.
We currently use the mail action, but we need to send account/
password pairs to get through the new security.
Does anyone have code samples on how to:
1) Define/create an email message
2) Open a session with account/password
3) Send the email through a SMTP (port 587, TLS optional)
outgoing server
4) Close the session
We found the code samples in the developer section, but it uses
the mail action to send - close, but not quite what we need.
We appreciate any help in this matter - Thanks!
