Hi Dan,

If you're going to build an RSS feed for a project, you should only concern 
yourself with ensuring that the XML can pass the http://www.feedvalidator.org/ 
test, and not worry about what RSS readers are available - because there are 
hundreds of them for Mac, Linux and Windows.

As for how to build RSS XML, checkout the RSS 2.0 specs at 
http://www.feedvalidator.org/docs/ and use your favorite programming tool to 
output the XML.

Yes it looks like it could be done as a Dashboard widget on Mac side and
that would be accepted by Mac Users. What is there on the windows side that
mot users would accept?
