It really is the best of all worlds, IMHO, especially if you develop for multiple platforms, and have to test your work. You can do it all from one machine. I have a mac pro, and with 4 cores, and parallels seems to only use ONE core, and it still is faster than my old 3ghz P4 laptop. And leaves tons of power for all else. I had a mac book first, and it had great power, but only 2 gigs of ram. I've never really loved working in the dev studio on the Mac when compared with Windows (I hope I hope I hope that this will change with the next Java-based studio), but now it's a non-issue as I'm currently working in Apple Mail and have Windows open in the background so I can finally do everything on one machine and periodically clone the Windows virtual machine so I have an easier roll-back when software inevitably goes hinky. Apple's really done an amazing job with the hardware, and Parallels is just fantastic. I hope Apple just buys them and builds it into 10.5.
