Intriguing, and I googled txt2tf, but the hits are all ancient. Brian, perhaps you're just interested in having Word open the file. If that's the case, then I think you only need to set the content type in the http header. That will tell the browser to open the application to handle the content. I'm pretty sure you could open text/html in Word by setting the type.
