Hopefully this helps some but if you want to make text in RTF format
you can do so like so:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rich_Text_Format

maybe if you made an RTF formatted document, named it something.rtf
and then served it to the browser it would open in word?

well the nearest i've come to this is to make a form in work and save it as
.RTF and
in the form i created fields and and put ~1~
and then have it show up in the browser using content-type.

if you are more interested i could send you off list what I have.

I have seen some emails in the past describing how to export data into
excel, I am interested in doing this to word, has anyone done this, and is
it pretty much the same as you do it getting it to excel, any help would be
appreciated, thanks,
