Kevin,

I have a file called 'cmd.cmd' (in a non-web accessible directory). The contents of the file are really simple - one line with '%command% %arguments%' - I use it to send commands to ImageMagick successfully all the time via External Actions in Witango apps. I'm trying to do the same thing, only the command 'xcopy' doesn't seem to run this way.

Still don't know why it didn't work, but I just downloaded Robert Garcia's 'witango_cmd' and after about 2 minutes of adapting it ran fine the first time.

Batch files are odd ducks, but it works anyway...

Jason

Thanks Robert!

Subject: Witango-Talk: Windows xcopy question

Hey all,

I have a generic .cmd file that I pass commands to for using ImageMagick. I'm trying to use it to call xcopy to copy a directory of generic website files into a new directory as part of creating a new site. I can run the command from the command window (when logged in as the 'witango' service account) and it works just fine, but when calling it through an external action nothing happens. The command is something like: xcopy /i /s /e D:\Inetpub\sourcedir D: \Inetpub\newDir

Any ideas on why it would be failing to work?

Thanks,

Jason
