By far MailEnable is the best email server out there! I've been using it for 4 years now, and it's awesome.
The standard edition is free, but if you require webmail service for your customers then you need the professional edition. It's $280.00 for the pro edition and domains are unlimited. MailEnable supports Windows user accounts on an Active directory domain. It uses ASP.net for the webmail service. It also has a DNS blacklist checker for email that comes in against spamcop and other spam blacklists. It's fully featured with a great GUI interface. Download the free standard edition and give it a try, then buy the pro edition if you need it. I have been using Windows Exchange 5.5 for serving pop3 email and it is time to move on. Too many problems and licensing for Exchange 2003 is too expensive. I am looking for suggestions for a Windows based email server (presently about 250 email accounts). I have been looking at MDaemon and Security Plus by AltN and it looks pretty good. I would appreciate any comments about this or any other Windows based Email server.
