I have been recently looking at what seems to be a problem with
@SERVERSTATUS to report accurate information in regard to the cache. I
don't have any more information, but you're not alone in finding some of
the presented values odd.

Subject: Witango-Talk: Output of <@SERVERSTATUS NumCachedIncl>

Hi,

In my witango.ini file, I have:

...
CACHE=true
CACHEINCLUDEFILES=false
CACHESIZE=10000000
...

Meaning that I want to cache TAF's but not any included files.

When I check the value of <@SERVERSTATUS NumCachedIncl> on a running server, it always returns a number. According to the docs, the tag should return "The number of included files currently in the included file cache". Shouldn't that be 0, since I have CACHEINCLUDEFILES set to false?

BTW, the behavior of the cache is apparently working correctly; I can access an included file, modify it then access it again and see the change without having to purge the cache.

I just don't understand by the metatag would be showing included files
in the cache if the cache is off.

Eric
