Witango 5.5 running on a Mac with OS X 10.4.9 Server and WebStar

I'm triggering a shell script from a witango action with the purpose
of
creating a folder.
The shell script is a simple:
#!/bin/sh
# folder.sh -- shell script to create a folder
mkdir $path
And the action is an External with:
Command <@INCLUDE FILE='filepath.txt'>wc_Admin/makefolder.sh
Environment Variables:
Path <@INCLUDE FILE='filepath.txt'>affiliates/<@ARG virtualdomain>
Oh and filepath.txt contains:
/Applications/Kerio WebSTAR/Webserver/DefaultSite2/~wineclubs/
I have tried with and without escape characters "\" before the SPACE
and ~.
I have set the permission for the folder 'affiliates' to Everyone:
Red and
Write.
So in the end I have found and fixed a number of problems but still
don't
have a working solution.
Any help would be appreciated.
